With its powerful ceramic magnets and narrow-aperture coils, the EMG 81 delivers an intense tone with powerful highs and smooth sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position, this humbucker will make your leads sound imposing even through the densest mixes. Used in either the bridge or neck position, its tone is cutting.

We recommend pairing it with the 85 or 60 pickup for an ultra-versatile setup.

With EMG’s solderless mounting technology, there’s no need to know how to use a soldering iron to install your pickups—it’s easy to do, even at home!
