The 710 Twin-Finity is an award-winning UA microphone preamp with a revolutionary design that combines the classic retro warmth of tubes with the transient bite of transistors, all in a half-rack 2U unit. The 710 was specially created to provide the tonal versatility and sonic inspiration missing from generic audio interface preamps.

The blend of tones can be continuously adjusted from 100% tube to 100% transistor, offering a virtually infinite range of unique preamp sounds and making it easy to create your own sonic signature. There are many reasonably priced tube and transistor preamps, but the 710 Twin-Finity is the only one that offers the best of both worlds—as well as everything in between—in a single unit, within the budget of any serious project studio. Includes a 19-inch rackmount kit for one or two units.

The key to the 710 Twin-Finity’s sonic flexibility lies in its innovative circuit design, which includes a transistor transimpedance input amplifier that simultaneously—and in phase!—drives the tube and transistor gain stages, whose outputs are then summed and routed to a single output. The blend between the 310-volt single-ended Class A triode stage and the transistor transimpedance stage is controlled using the “?” potentiometer. The blend can be continuously adjusted from 100% tube to 100% transistor, offering a virtually infinite range of unique preamp sounds and making it easy to create your own sonic signature.

Like all our other preamp models, the 710 features dual-stage gain controls (gain/level) that can dramatically vary the amount of coloration and distortion, allowing you to drive the input gain like a guitar amplifier. The VU meter features a unique “Drive” mode that shows how hard you are saturating the input stage.
