The Gemini II is sE Electronics' homage to the classic era of tube microphones. This large-diaphragm cardioid condenser boasts that distinctive warmth and weight to its sound, thanks to a 12AX7 input valve. Where most microphones have an output transformer, we've instead added a 12AU7 valve, giving the Gemini II an impeccable top end that you'd expect from an expensive solid-state mic. Its switchable high-pass filter, as well as its switchable -10 dB pad, allow it to shine on a variety of sources. Whether it's on drums, an acoustic guitar, or even capturing the boom of timpani or the intimacy of a cello, the Gemini II won't let you down.
