The Series One was first introduced at the Frankfurt Musikmesse in 2007, when the brand launched. It has always been our flagship line of high gain amplifiers and is the most awarded line we have ever released. Incorporating two patents (ISF and DPR), Series One has been a dominant force in the rock and metal scene for nearly two decades, used by some of the biggest artists in the world. Driven by a desire for sonic perfection, we’ve taken everything we’ve learned about amp design over the last 19 years and further enhanced this iconic platform.

Introducing the Series One MK II, an enhanced and optimized range designed to be the ultimate modern amplifier and speaker, tailored specifically to the needs of today's metal guitarists. This evolution of the series marks a significant step forward in high-performance high-gain amplification, with the 4-channel Series One 100 MK II head taking center stage - a high-gain amplifier designed to produce incredibly tight rhythmic sounds and huge saturated leads, without the unwanted 'hiss' often present with other models. This monstrous amplifier benefits from over 30 circuit modifications and adjustments compared to its predecessor, allowing us to confidently state that it is the pinnacle of high-gain amplification for today's metal guitarists. The Series One 412 PRO A/B MK II cabinets, ideal companions to this 'sonic weapon', are equipped with Blackstar-exclusive Celestion Vintage 30 speakers and feature a special cabinet construction offering a more balanced mid-range response. In addition to these sonic enhancements, we have also revisited the Series One MK II's aesthetics to give it a more assertive, robust and contemporary look that attracts attention on stages of all sizes. It's not just about looks and sound, as this range is built from the finest materials, including hand-joined birch plywood cabinets, 1.6 mm welded steel chassis for tank-like strength and sturdy metal grilles.
