The multi-award-winning HT range is one of Blackstar's series of tube amplifiers. Offering guitarists classic tube amp tones in a compact format, it has become a staple for beginners practicing at home as well as professional musicians in the studio. Blackstar's R&D team has leveraged decades of experience to create this new HT MK III series. The HT-1R MK III, HT-5R MK III, and HT-20R MK III amps retain all the features that made the HT MKII series famous, with the addition of CabRig, the world's first IR (Impulse Response)-based DSP speaker simulator. CabRig allows guitarists to access hundreds of speaker cabinet, microphone, microphone placement, and room type configurations. These settings can be saved and stored as 3 presets that can be recalled directly from the amp. An incredible selection of sound options for live performance or recording is at your disposal! In addition to these new features, the HT MK III series stands out with a new look, inspired by high-end boutique amplifiers. The control panel is clear, with a sleek finish, no corner angles, classic 'chicken head' knobs, and new piping. We have chosen new high-quality mini-switches, updated the LED color, and added a metal logo. Without a doubt, the design of the new HT MK III amps lives up to their sonic performance!

Here's what you can expect from the new HT MK III:

- Blackstar's patented Infinite Shape Feature (ISF) control. Unique to Blackstar products, this control allows you to switch from an 'American' sounding amp to a classic 'British' sounding amp.
- Power Reduction: A switchable circuit is present on the HT-5R MK III and HT-20R MK III models and allows for transparent and effective attenuation, down to just 10% of the amplifier's rated power.
- CabRig: Our IR-based DSP simulator. Choose from hundreds of microphone and speaker combinations using the free software and store up to 3 CabRig presets directly in your amplifier.
- Professional recording via USB output: now USB-C, it's the easiest way to incorporate tube amp sounds into your recordings.
- The innovative Clean channel offers the ultimate in quality and possibilities for clean sounds. It features a Voice switch: American Clean and British Clean.
- The rich and dynamic Overdrive channel has its own Voice switch: Classic Overdrive and Modern Overdrive. The Hi Gain sounds are precise and accurate.
- All models feature four footswitchable voices (Voice) using the optional FS-22 and FS-16 footswitches. This provides easy access to a wide range of tube sounds.
- Line input for jamming or listening to music.
- Line output for silent practice or recording.
- The 'HT' designation stands for 'High Tension', the high voltage required for the tubes to reach their optimal sonic potential.
